Good lunch spot in midtown east, always busy, but note that the interior is quite loud, could not hear a word from those at my table. Have dined here multiple times (usually for a work related lunch), and this time they had a Lunch Prix Fixe menu available instead of the usual ala carte. There were three "appetizer" options for the table to share, and about eight or so entrees for each person to choose from. I got the Smith Bar Steak with the Chimichurri, which was delicious. Was loaded with fries on the side as well.

I came to The Smith for brunch on Sunday and it was paaacked! Their menu offers a large number of items, from classics such as omelettes and burgers to unique items such as the potato waffle benny (what I got). This fish featured two poached eggs over smoked salmon atop a hash brown waffle. It was really yummy! I would come again to try other items.

Found this last minute reservation on open table so wasn't sure what to expect. But wow-we were impressed! Our server was super sweet and loved how the sparkling water was also complimentary here. We started with the Mac n cheese app and oysters. The oysters were a bit small but still tasty. The Mac n cheese-I'm sorry but easily the best thing on the menu. Next up we did a filet and a burger. Both were cooked perfectly and the sides were also a hit. We skipped dessert as we were full but would definitely return for this, the Mac and cheese and the old fashioned drinks :) Ambiance was cute but the only odd part was the bathroom. It's a wide open space with locked stalls for both men and women. Thought I was in the wrong place when I saw 4 men at the sinks but no women. I'm used to 2 locked separate doors for bathroom spaces that are uni-sex but an open bathroom with stalls-just threw me off a bit. But minor considering the overall experience!

A coworker and I came for lunch. We had reservations and were seated promptly. It's a bright open space. I had the bolognese and my coworker had the veggie bipimbap and they were both good. Those items plus 2 sodas were $68 plus tip.

It's our go to for brunch when in the area. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu and service is quick, attentive and very friendly. Today in particular was an excellent visit. The front of the house staff were phenomenal. They went out of their way to ensure everyone is comfortable and it is sincerely appreciated. Our brunch which consisted of buttermilk pancakes, coffee and avocado toast was outstanding as was our fellow diners. Today we sat next to the most delightful couple who had just gotten engaged and they really made our time there so much nicer. Very highly recommend.

Ran into the Smith for a late lunch, ordered the Smith Burger which is a generous portion of ground beef layered with baby lettuces, crispy onions, house pickles and their house sauce on a brioche bun and a large side of thin french fries, a delicious bundle!

Went there for Thanksgiving 2022 and ordered from the fixed menu. I didn't think much people would be there because it was Thanksgiving but it was completely booked. Everything on the menu was delicious and a good portion. The staff were friendly, helpful, and inviting. I would definitely go back, Thanksgiving or not.

We stopped at this place on our way to LaGuardia airport and it was a delicious brunch to wrap up our NY foodie adventure. We started with the potato chips with blue cheese fondue, which are to die for. The grilled chicken sandwich was juicy and tasty. We also had the kale and quinoa salad, pancakes, and the Smith eggs benedict. If you plan on visiting The Smith, I highly recommend reserving a table, especially during the busy brunch hours. We had to wait longer than anticipated and almost did not have the chance to try this place.

Let me start off by saying Nick was an incredible server. He made sure our cups were never empty and was consistently checking on us. It was such a cute vibe in the restaurant and the bathrooms were all for one so there were a lot of stalls and open to all genders. The food was absolutely incredible. The blue cheese that came on the chips was so delicious- we wished the bowl was never ending! The Mac and cheese was perfectly creamy- good enough to be a stand alone dish. We also had the cinnamon sugar donuts which were great but I'm more of a savory person when it comes to appetizers. I got the smith burger as my entree and it was cooked perfectly. The fries were crispy, I was definitely a fan!! The drinks were strong and also delicious. We came here for a little cousin reunion and we loved being here with each other! It was packed but not too loud we couldn't hear each other. At the end of the meal, cookies came with the check. What a great place!
